“What the Heart Wants”
Poems should reflect the idea behind the title of the contest.
The Amityville Artists Circle (AAC) is sponsoring an annual poetry contest open to poets 18 and older.
Proceeds will go to benefit the Shirley Ilsley Malone Incentive Award of the AAC
that is given each year to an Amityville High School graduating senior based on artistic talent.
Fees are $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members.
Limit: two poems per submissions.

Deadline for Submission is Saturday April 4, 2009  
Submissions must be postmarked by this date

Mail your poems to What the Heart Wants, Amityville Artists Circle PO Box 543 Amityville, NY 11701
together with your fee, a SASE and the completed and signed entry form below. The A.A.C.
will take good care of your poem as submitted but will not be responsible for any damage or loss.
All proceeds minus expenses form this contest will be used towards the Shirley Ilsley Malone Incentive Award.
